Description

In 1979 South Africa tested a nuclear device in the south Atlantic Ocean. This report, published in February 1980, traced the development of South Africa’s nuclear capacity and showed how Western countries had helped create it. It was part of the World Campaign against Nuclear Collaboration with South Africa's campaign to extend the UN mandatory arms embargo to all forms of nuclear collaboration with South Africa.
