Oxford is the next venue for the exhibition of South African artist Norman Kaplan’s linocuts and cartoons, part of a programme to mark the 30th anniversary of the end of apartheid. They will be on show at OVADA, The Warehouse, 14A Osney Lane (off Woodbine Place), OX1 1NJ from 24 June to 2 July, and at the Cowley Library, Temple Road, OX4 2EZ from 2 July to 21 July. BBC journalist Mike Wooldridge OBE will speak at a launch event at OVADA on 25 June. Many of the artworks first appeared in the ANC's journal Sechaba and The African Communist. The exhibition is accompanied by a programme of schools workshops and outreach events.
